Stash Report - Feb. 28, '10

Fabric in this week: 6.5 yds.
Fabric in YTD: 16.5 yds.

Fabric out this week:  6.5 yds.
Fabric out YTD: 17.25 yds.

Stash busted:   .75 yds.

If you would like to see how others are doing check out Judy's blog.

So far I am keeping ahead of the curve, still in the black but I really haven't busted much stash. I may have to do a couple of stash quilts to help those numbers. My 6.5 yards in are for the pink in this quilt. The 6.5 yards out are for the backing of my Grandmothers Diamond Ring. Woohoo. Finish #2 for the year.

I didn't report last week because I was in Arizona for my niece's wedding which almost didn't happen. The bride had a panic attack just before the ceremony. She called her dad in and he was able to settle her down. Later she had hubby went to the airport to leave for their honeymoon only to find out the tickets were for the next day. It all gave us something to remember.

I was able to live one of my fantasies. I've always thought the best vacation would be to stay home with everyone thinking I was gone. We came back from our trip a day early and I didn't let anyone know. I was able to quilt in peace and finish the Grandmothers Diamond Ring.

Yesterday I threw on one of the quilts for a customer. It was a simple panto. She made this out of the Dick and Jane fabric because of the memories it invoked.

I hope you have a great week. Can you believe it will be March tomorrow?

  1. I love the Grandmother's Diamond Ring!! Can you share the pattern source, please?

  2. It's nice to have a 'stay-cation' too!! Glad you managed to be both, be away and be home in secret for some time to yourself!! And you have done a beautiful job on the Grandmothers Diamond Ring quilt!!
